It is not a filler: it does not add volume from the outside. It stimulates the skin to produce new collagen.  <\/p><p>When injected into the inner and medial upper arm, Sculptra particles trigger a controlled tissue response that activates collagen synthesis. That initial collagen then matures over the following weeks. The particles are reabsorbed over 18 to 24 months; the newly formed collagen remains afterwards.  <\/p><p>That is why the result is not visible when you leave the clinic. Noticeable improvement usually appears between four and six weeks, with peak effect between three and six months after the last session.
