The treatment is not recommended for people with a tendency to keloids or hypertrophic scars, during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or in the presence of active infections in the area. Suitability is always determined during a personalised consultation.

As with any injectable treatment, mild and temporary side effects may occur, such as redness, swelling, bruising or sensitivity in the treated area. These usually resolve within a few days.
