That is understandable: once loss of firmness and sagging become visible, topical skincare is often no longer enough. The good news is that, in appropriately selected cases, there is a non-surgical medical option: poly-L-lactic acid biostimulation, which helps the skin gradually regain density and support.

We treat neck laxity with poly-L-lactic acid, a collagen biostimulator. Unlike a filler, it does not provide immediate volume. Instead, it stimulates the natural production of collagen and elastin in the treated area, allowing your own skin to become denser and firmer over the following weeks.
This makes it particularly suitable for the neck, where the skin is thinner than on the face and the main issue is usually not a lack of volume, but reduced support: less collagen, less elasticity and skin that begins to crease more easily.
It is equally important to understand what this treatment cannot do. It does not replace surgery when there is significant sagging or excess skin, and it is not the primary treatment when submental fat is the main concern. This is precisely why diagnosis comes before technique: selecting the right indication is part of achieving a good result.
The treatment session is straightforward. We administer the product through targeted injections, with only mild, well-tolerated discomfort, and you can return to your normal routine the same day by following a few simple aftercare instructions that we will provide. From there, your tissue does the work: improvement develops gradually over time, and we monitor your progress throughout the process.
Not every patient who consults us about neck “sagging” is describing the same concern. That distinction matters, because each situation requires a different approach.

In many cases, the difference is not so much about “tightening” as helping the skin look less fragile or dull. When planned with restraint, this type of improvement blends naturally into your appearance: you look better, without others being able to pinpoint why.
We begin by listening to what concerns you about your neck and what you would like to achieve. We then assess each component — skin quality and thickness, degree of laxity, submental fat, muscular bands, and the relationship with the jawline and lower face — to understand what is causing the changes you see.
Based on this assessment, we give you a clear, reasoned recommendation: what is appropriate for your case, what is not and why. Sometimes the right answer is a different treatment; sometimes, no treatment at all.

No. When there is significant sagging or marked excess skin, surgery remains the definitive option. That said, some patients with advanced laxity do not wish to undergo surgery but would still like to improve their skin quality and firmness. In these cases, treatment can provide meaningful improvement, provided expectations are carefully aligned from the outset.
It depends on which component is predominant. If submental fat is the main factor affecting the appearance of your neck, biostimulation alone will not address it, and another treatment — either on its own or in combination — may be more appropriate.
During your consultation, we determine whether your concern is primarily related to skin, fat, muscle or a combination of factors, as each requires a different treatment strategy.
The best treatment is the one that matches your diagnosis. We know this is not always the quick answer people hope for, but it is the medically honest one: depending on the predominant factor, the same-looking neck concern may require biostimulation, fat reduction, muscle relaxation, hyaluronic acid treatment or surgery.
They work through different mechanisms. Energy-based technologies such as radiofrequency and focused ultrasound heat the tissue to promote contraction and stimulate collagen, while injectable biostimulation places the stimulus directly where the skin has lost density. They are not mutually exclusive and may complement one another in selected treatment plans. Whether your case requires one, the other, both or neither depends on the condition of your skin and the component we need to address.
The neck requires particularly careful technique because the skin is thinner. For this reason, the dose, dilution and injection plane are specifically adapted to the area.
As with any injectable procedure, mild swelling, tenderness or small bruises may occur during the first few days. Treatment is postponed if there is an active infection or inflammation in the area, and we review your medical history before recommending it.
You can expect a gradual improvement in skin firmness and quality: a neck that looks better cared for and more harmonious with your face. You should not expect the effect of a surgical neck lift or an overnight change, as collagen stimulation takes several weeks to become visible.
There is no universal number of sessions. It depends on the degree of laxity, tissue quality, treatment area and your starting point. For the neck, it is usually more appropriate to plan a course of 2 or 3 sessions rather than a single standalone treatment.
The effects generally last between 18 and 24 months, although they may last longer in some patients.
