What can be improved in the body, when treatment makes sense and how each case is assessed.
Sometimes the body changes in ways that are difficult to interpret: one area loses firmness, another accumulates volume, the skin looks less smooth or there is a sensation of heaviness that does not improve with exercise or diet alone.
At Clínica Provença in Barcelona, we first assess what is happening in your case, the realistic margin for improvement and which technique (or combination of techniques may be appropriate.
We work with a conservative, progressive approach, focused on improvements that are coherent with your anatomy and overall body proportions, avoiding unnecessary indications.
Improved firmness and tissue appearance in areas such as the thighs, buttocks, arms, abdomen or knees. How far we can go without surgery depends on the degree of laxity and skin quality.
For localised fat deposits and cellulite in specific areas. The technique is chosen according to the predominant concern and the quality of the tissue.
Improved firmness, fine lines, texture and dehydration in a delicate area that is highly exposed to the sun.
Enhances the shape of the buttocks with hyaluronic acid, always after an individual medical assessment.
Reduces hyperhidrosis in areas such as the underarms and improves daily comfort.
Warts, cherry angiomas and other superficial lesions, always after a prior medical examination.
Progressive hair reduction with laser, adapted to your phototype, hair type and treatment area.
Aesthetic doctor, educator in aesthetic medicine and director of Clínica Provença.
Treatments guided by medical judgment, with personalised planning and a conservative approach.
Licensed physician No. 55671 · Barcelona Medical Association
During the consultation, we assess:
Based on this, we define which treatment is indicated, whether it is advisable to combine techniques and whether a single treatment or a phased plan makes more sense.
At Clínica Provença, body aesthetic medicine is approached with an individualised medical criterion. Our goal is to understand what your body needs and whether treatment can provide a real, natural and proportionate improvement.
We do not treat the body as a set of isolated areas. We assess tissue quality, the predominant concern, and how each intervention may influence overall balance before recommending any treatment.
Each treatment is planned according to the underlying concern—whether skin laxity, localized fat, skin quality, or a combination of factors. Not all cases benefit from the same approach or technology.
In many cases, body treatments are planned in phases. This allows us to observe how the tissue responds, adjust the strategy accordingly, and avoid overcorrection or unnatural results.
Indication, technique, and follow-up are all part of the treatment. Knowing when to treat (and when not to) is key to achieving a good result.
Safety does not depend only on the product. It also depends on the indication, the technique and control of the process.

Complimentary first consultation.
No. Body aesthetic medicine does not replace weight loss. It may help improve localized fat, skin laxity, cellulite or skin quality in specific areas.
Localized excess fat is not the same as loss of skin firmness. In many patients both factors coexist, but they require a differentiated assessment to decide which treatment may be most suitable.
Yes. Before indicating any treatment it is important to analyse the area, skin quality, the degree of laxity, medical history and the patient’s expectations to determine whether the procedure is appropriate.
No. There are cases in which surgery may be a more suitable option, especially when there is a significant excess of skin that cannot reasonably be resolved with aesthetic medicine.
When correctly indicated and performed by a qualified physician, body aesthetic medicine treatments have a high safety profile.
Before performing any procedure, medical history, possible contraindications and the most appropriate treatment for each patient are reviewed.
Yes. As with any medical procedure, there are situations in which some treatments may not be indicated.
These may include certain medical conditions, active infections in the area, pregnancy or breastfeeding, or specific medical treatments.
For this reason, a prior assessment is important to determine which options may be appropriate in each case.
It depends on the treatment and the concern we want to improve. In some cases, improvement may be noticeable earlier; in others, it develops progressively over the following weeks.
This varies depending on the area, the treatment and the individual response. Some procedures are performed in a single session, while others require several sessions or maintenance.
The duration of results depends on the treatment performed, the area treated and the patient’s individual characteristics.
In some cases, the effects can last for a long time; in others, maintenance sessions may be recommended to preserve the result.
During the assessment we explain what evolution can be expected and what type of follow‑up may be recommended.
