No — and it is important to understand this before starting: no aesthetic medicine treatment is a substitute for weight loss. Where these treatments can help is with concerns that weight loss alone does not resolve, such as persistent localised fat at a healthy weight, loss of firmness, cellulite or reduced skin quality in specific areas.
If your main goal is to lose weight, that should come first. Once your weight is stable, the medical assessment can offer much more meaningful options.
You do not need to know beforehand. Distinguishing between them is one of the first aims of the assessment, as they can easily look similar. Localised excess fat and loss of skin firmness may appear alike, yet they require different treatment approaches.
In many patients, both factors are present in different proportions. Identifying which one predominates is essential before recommending any treatment — because treating the wrong factor is the most reliable way to achieve little or no meaningful improvement.
It depends on the technique. Some procedures are completed in a single session and produce visible changes relatively quickly. Others, such as collagen stimulators, work progressively over several weeks or months because the result is built by your own tissue.
Each treatment page explains the expected timeline in detail. After your assessment, you will also receive a clear schedule for your personalised plan, including the estimated number of sessions and the approximate timing of each stage.
We use CE-marked products and medical techniques, performed by an aesthetic doctor and always preceded by a medical assessment. Safety begins with appropriate patient selection, not with the product itself.
Relevant contraindications are reviewed during the consultation before any treatment is recommended. These may include pregnancy and breastfeeding, active infection in the treatment area, and certain medical conditions or ongoing medications. If a procedure is not suitable for you, we will discuss alternatives or recommend postponing treatment.
There is no single price because there is no single treatment. The cost depends on what is indicated for your case, the area being treated, whether the plan combines different techniques and the number of sessions required.
After your assessment, you receive a detailed quotation together with your treatment plan and proposed schedule, so you can make your decision afterwards, calmly and with all the relevant information.
No — and we prefer to make this clear from the outset. When there is significant excess skin that has lost its ability to retract, aesthetic medicine may improve tissue quality but cannot remove redundant skin. In these cases, surgery may be the more appropriate option.
The assessment is designed to give you a clear understanding of your situation. If the scope for improvement without surgery is limited, we will also explain this openly.
It may be, provided your weight is stable. If you are still losing weight, the tissue continues to change, and treating a moving target can compromise the result. In that situation, waiting is usually the most appropriate option, and we will explain for how long and why.
Once your weight is stable, the assessment evaluates how much retraction capacity your skin still has. This determines whether the best approach is to stimulate the tissue, combine techniques or, in cases of more significant excess skin, refer you for a surgical assessment.
