You may have noticed it more clearly in the morning mirror than in any photograph: your skin still looks like you, but it has lost some of its substance. It feels less firm, appears less radiant, and make-up no longer sits in quite the same way.
There is a medical explanation for this loss of skin density — and, in suitable cases, a medical treatment that does not involve surgery.
During your consultation, we assess the quality of your skin and explain whether this treatment is appropriate for you, or whether what you are seeing has another cause and would be better addressed differently.

Over time, the dermis — the middle layer of the skin — gradually loses hyaluronic acid, collagen and elastin. This is a normal process and explains why skin may feel thinner, drier or less resilient, even when it is well cared for. Creams work at the surface; this loss occurs deeper within the skin, beyond their reach.
Facial skin densification targets this deeper layer. Through a series of microinjections, we deliver highly purified hyaluronic acid into the dermis — sometimes combined with amino acids, vitamins and antioxidants, depending on your skin’s needs — to restore deep hydration and support your skin’s own collagen production.
It is important to clarify what this treatment is not, as this is a common source of confusion during consultations: it is not a dermal filler. It does not add volume, contour the face or alter your features. The product is more fluid than a filler and disperses within the skin rather than beneath it. Its purpose is to improve tissue quality: density, elasticity and radiance. If your aim is to restore volume or treat a specific fold, a different technique would be more appropriate, and we will explain this during your consultation.
The treatment is performed in the clinic, takes around 30 minutes and requires no downtime. Small papules or mild redness at the injection points are common during the first 24–48 hours; they are part of the normal process and resolve on their own. You can then return to your usual routine, following the simple aftercare guidance provided in the clinic.
Facial skin densification is generally suitable when the skin has lost quality rather than shape: dehydrated or dull-looking skin that no longer responds adequately to skincare, fine lines — especially those that become more visible with expression or towards the end of the day — early loss of firmness, or skin that feels more delicate in texture. It is common from the age of 35–40 onwards, although it may also be appropriate earlier in skin affected by significant sun exposure or hormonal changes.
It may also be considered as a maintenance treatment when the skin is in good condition and the aim is to preserve its quality, provided there is a sound clinical indication.
However, if your main concern is visible sagging, loss of volume in a specific area or a pronounced fold, skin densification alone is unlikely to be sufficient: it may improve the skin, but not the underlying cause of what you see. In these cases, we assess other options — such as treatments that stimulate collagen at a deeper level or hyaluronic acid designed to provide structural support — and sometimes recommend combining them in stages. The decision is based on a direct assessment of your skin.

The aim is to help your skin recover what it has gradually lost: substance, elasticity and radiance.
The first changes are usually noticeable two to three weeks after the initial session — the skin may look fresher and more rested — and the result develops progressively as collagen production responds. For this reason, the usual protocol involves two to three sessions at intervals, adjusted according to how your skin evolves: what we observe after each session helps guide the next one.
The result is something you notice rather than something others can pinpoint. People are unlikely to ask what you have had done; they may simply say that you look well. The skin reflects light more evenly, make-up sits differently and the texture feels improved. Because the effect works with your skin’s own biology, maintenance usually involves an occasional follow-up session, scheduled as part of your personalised plan.
We begin by listening: what concerns you about your skin, when you first noticed it, what you have already tried and what you hope to achieve.
We then assess the quality of your skin — its density, hydration, elasticity and texture — and identify what is causing the changes you see: whether the skin itself has lost substance or whether deeper structures are also involved, because the right treatment depends on where the underlying cause lies.
Based on this assessment, we provide a clear clinical recommendation: what is appropriate for your case, what is not, and why. Sometimes another technique is the better choice; sometimes no treatment is needed.

When the concern is related to skin quality — dehydration, dullness or fine lines — the improvement is real and noticeable to you: in the way your skin feels, how make-up sits and how rested your complexion appears.
What you will not see is a change in your facial features, because that is not what the treatment is designed to do. This is precisely why the initial consultation matters: if your skin is unlikely to benefit clearly, we will tell you before treatment begins, not afterwards.
No. The product we use is not designed to create volume: it is fluid, integrates within the skin and works by improving skin quality from within.
Your features, expression and facial proportions remain exactly as they are. If your goal were to restore volume, that would require a different discussion, technique and treatment plan.
The usual protocol consists of two to three sessions spaced several weeks apart, as collagen stimulation requires time and reinforcement to become established.

The exact number of sessions is determined by the doctor during your consultation according to your skin’s starting condition and adjusted in response to how it evolves.
The hyaluronic acid we use is biodegradable and biocompatible: your body naturally integrates and gradually breaks it down.
After treatment, small papules at the injection points, mild redness or occasional light bruising are normal. These usually resolve within 24–72 hours, and we provide aftercare guidance to make the recovery as comfortable as possible. We postpone treatment during pregnancy and breastfeeding, not because a specific risk has been demonstrated, but because studies in these periods are lacking and we prefer to take a cautious approach.
This is one of the most common questions we receive. The three options may share certain ingredients, but they serve different purposes.
Skin densification improves skin quality: hydration, density and radiance. Collagen stimulators work at a deeper level to improve firmness and support when laxity is present. Hyaluronic acid fillers, by contrast, restore volume or treat specific folds.
During your consultation, we determine which of these three approaches — or which combination, and in what order — best addresses your skin’s needs.
They share a similar aim, but not the same reach. A good skincare cream works on the most superficial layer of the skin and is essential for daily care, but it cannot reach the dermis, where density is lost.
Vitamin mesotherapy delivers nutrients and revitalises the skin, and in some cases we combine it with other treatments.
Skin densification goes a step further: it places hyaluronic acid directly into the middle layer of the skin and supports a longer-lasting response from the tissue itself.
These approaches do not compete with one another; each has its place, and during your consultation we explain which is most appropriate for your case.
