Facial sagging is a natural consequence of ageing and results from a combination of different mechanisms. These include the progressive loss of collagen and elastin, the appearance of wrinkles caused by repeated contraction of facial expression muscles, and the loss of bone and fat volume in key areas of the face.
HArmonyCa is a dual-action hybrid injectable combining hyaluronic acid and calcium hydroxyapatite. It is biocompatible and biodegradable.
The hyaluronic acid component provides immediate volume and structural support to the face, while calcium hydroxyapatite stimulates the skin’s natural collagen production, helping to restructure, rejuvenate and firm the facial tissues.
Dr. Manuela Gheorghiu is a specialist in Aesthetic Medicine, certified by the University of Córdoba, Spain, and a reference in Barcelona for non-surgical facial rejuvenation treatments. In addition, she combines her clinical practice with university teaching and specialized training.
She has extensive experience and an in-depth understanding of facial anatomy, as well as a deep knowledge of how wrinkles, facial folds, and skin laxity develop.
Results are highly effective because each patient is treated individually, with a personalised approach focused on improving firmness while preserving natural facial features.
The effects typically last between 18 and 24 months.
In general, 2 to 3 sessions are required, with an interval of approximately 3 to 4 months between treatments.
From that point onwards, maintenance injections are recommended every 12 to 18 months to help maintain optimal aesthetic results.
Our HArmonyCa treatment is considered safe, with a low risk of allergic reactions or the formation of small subcutaneous nodules. Both components are biocompatible, biodegradable and non-permanent.
The effects are rare and are commonly related to the injection which may produce redness, swelling and some temporary bruising in the area where it has been applied.
In general, these treatments are suitable for most people. However, the most appropriate option is determined based on a medical assessment and each patient’s medical history.
It is contraindicated during pregnancy and breastfeeding. This is not due to known safety concerns, but rather because specific clinical studies have not been conducted in pregnant or breastfeeding women. For this reason, and as a precautionary measure, we recommend postponing treatment until after this period.
