It is one of those decisions that many men think about carefully but rarely discuss. If you feel self-conscious about the girth of your penis or would simply like to increase it, there is a medical option that does not involve surgery: hyaluronic acid filler, an in-clinic procedure that allows you to return to your usual routine the same day.
However, it is not suitable for every case and cannot meet every expectation. That is why the first step is not treatment, but assessment: understanding your anatomy and what you hope to achieve, and explaining clearly whether this procedure is appropriate for you.

The treatment involves injecting hyaluronic acid—a substance naturally present in the body—beneath the skin of the penile shaft to increase its circumference. It is based on the same medical principle used for many years in other areas of the body, adapted here with a specifically selected product density and a technique designed to distribute the filler evenly, without ridges or areas of excess.
It addresses one specific concern: the perception of insufficient girth, both when erect and at rest. In fact, many men notice the change most clearly when flaccid, as the penis has a fuller and more consistent appearance.
It is equally important to explain what this treatment does not do. It does not increase length, alter erections or treat sexual dysfunction, and it is not permanent: the body gradually breaks down the product. Although this temporary nature may seem like a drawback, it is also one of its main advantages. The treatment can be repeated when the effect diminishes, adjusted at a future session or simply discontinued.
The session. The procedure is performed in clinic under local anaesthesia to keep you comfortable. Dr Manuela Gheorghiu injects the product slowly and precisely, following the plan agreed during your assessment, and checks its distribution before completing the treatment. You will spend approximately one hour at the clinic in total.
Afterwards. Mild swelling or bruising may occur during the first few days; this is expected and resolves on its own. You can return to your normal routine from the first day, with one important exception: sexual activity must be avoided for several days while the product settles evenly. We will give you clear aftercare instructions and arrange a review to make sure everything is progressing as expected.
This treatment may be suitable when the specific concern you would like to improve is penile girth, your expectations are realistic—we are referring to a visible, proportionate increase in circumference rather than a radical change—and you are in good general health.
It may also be a good option if you value being able to proceed gradually. Because the product is resorbable, you can see how you feel about the result before deciding whether you would like to maintain it over time.
There are also situations in which we will recommend a different approach. If your concern is length, hyaluronic acid will not change it. If there is an erectile or sexual function problem, this should first be assessed by the appropriate specialist, as filler will not resolve it.

The filler integrates with the tissue and feels even to the touch: what you notice is a thicker penis, not a treated penis. The key lies in selecting the right hyaluronic acid density and injecting it slowly and evenly.

The hyaluronic acid is placed beneath the skin, without entering the corpora cavernosa or affecting the structures responsible for erections and sensitivity, which continue to function normally.
During the first few days, the area may feel different because of the normal swelling caused by the procedure. This subsides as the product settles. If we identify any factor during your assessment that makes the treatment unsuitable for you, we will explain this before proceeding.
You can return to your daily activities the same day, but sexual intercourse and masturbation should be avoided for one week.

Hyaluronic acid is a biocompatible substance that the body recognises and gradually breaks down, with a well-established safety profile in aesthetic medicine. The usual side effects—such as swelling or mild bruising—are temporary and generally mild.
