Lines on the decolletage often appear before facial wrinkles: they are more noticeable on waking, become visible with certain necklines and, over time, take longer to soften during the day. If creams or silicone patches have not achieved enough improvement, it is because the underlying changes lie deeper than topical skincare can reach.
Aesthetic medicine can work at this deeper level. By improving skin quality from within, lines become less visible and the decolletage regains density and radiance.

The skin on the decolletage differs from facial skin: it is thinner, has fewer sebaceous glands and a lower capacity for repair. This is why it tends to age earlier—and why it should not be treated with just any product or at just any depth.
Treatment involves a series of microinjections that replace some of what the skin has gradually lost. The injectable used depends on the diagnosis: a specific hyaluronic acid for fine lines—not a volumising filler—deep-hydration skinboosters, polynucleotides to improve tissue elasticity, or collagen stimulators such as poly-L-lactic acid when the skin needs greater density and support. In some cases, the most appropriate plan combines several options in different stages.
It is equally important to explain what this treatment is not. It is not a filler designed to erase a wrinkle instantly: in such thin skin, forcing volume is the most reliable way to make the result look noticeable. We take the opposite approach—improving skin quality so that the line gradually becomes less prominent.
The session takes approximately 30 minutes and does not require downtime, so you can return to your usual activities the same day. Small papules or injection marks may remain for 24–72 hours and resolve on their own. We will give you simple aftercare guidance for the first few days.

In some cases, this treatment alone may not be enough. When creases are very deep or skin laxity is significant, the honest approach is to plan treatment in stages or consider combining it with other techniques—and sometimes to agree on a realistic expectation of how much improvement can be achieved.
If you expect the wrinkles to disappear completely after one session, this treatment will not provide that result. During the consultation, we assess your skin and explain what level of improvement is realistic in your case.

Longevity depends on the product used and on your skin. Results from hyaluronic acid usually last between 6 and 12 months, while collagen-stimulating treatments may last between 12 and 24 months. During your consultation, we will give you a realistic expectation for your individual case.
We listen to what concerns you and what you hope to achieve. We then assess your decolletage: whether the lines are caused mainly by positional folding or by a loss of skin quality, the thickness and elasticity of the tissue, the degree of photoageing, and how the area behaves with movement and posture. Each cause requires a different product and injection depth.
We give you a reasoned medical recommendation: what is appropriate for your case, what is not, and why. Sometimes the answer is another technique; sometimes, no treatment at all.

These measures act on the surface of the skin or help reduce the mechanical cause, and they have a role—particularly in prevention. Once a line is established, however, the problem lies within the dermis: less collagen, less elastin and a reduced ability to retain water. No cream reaches this depth in a sufficient concentration; microinjections do.
This is why the results are different in nature: rather than temporarily disguising the line, treatment improves the tissue in which the line forms. Continuing with sun protection and appropriate home skincare still matters—medical treatment and prevention complement each other.
It depends on what is injected and how it is administered. A conventional volumising filler can become visible in this area, which is why we do not use one. Products selected for the decolletage are fluid, placed as small superficial microdeposits and designed to integrate into the tissue rather than create volume.
Small papules during the first 48–72 hours are normal and resolve on their own. Selecting the correct product for your skin type is precisely one of the key decisions made during the consultation.
It depends on the product. Improved hydration is usually noticeable within one or two weeks. Increased density from collagen stimulators develops over two to three months, because it is your own skin that is producing the response.
A typical treatment plan involves one to three sessions, approximately four weeks apart, followed by maintenance according to how your skin evolves. We will define the recommended protocol during your consultation.
Common side effects are mild and temporary: redness, small papules or occasional bruising in the treated area, usually resolving within a few days. No medical leave or recovery period is required.
We do not perform the treatment during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or when there is an active infection or skin lesion in the area. We also review allergies, medical history and medication during the consultation. If there are skin lesions or pigmented marks that should be assessed first, we will advise you before proceeding.
They work at different levels. A hyaluronic acid specifically formulated for fine lines acts on the visible crease by hydrating the skin and softening the fold.
Collagen stimulators—such as poly-L-lactic acid—do not treat the line directly. They encourage the skin to regain density and support, allowing the line to improve as a result.
They are not competing alternatives, but tools for different concerns. Sometimes the right plan uses one; in other cases, two treatments are combined in stages. The diagnosis determines the approach.
Yes. Sleep lines become more persistent as the skin becomes thinner and less elastic. In younger skin, the overnight crease disappears within minutes. Treatment cannot change your sleeping position, but it can improve skin density and resilience, helping the morning fold behave as a temporary line rather than becoming progressively established.
To further reduce the mechanical cause, simple positional measures or night-time support may also help. Treatment and daily habits can reinforce each other.
This is one of the most common situations we see in consultation: for many years, skincare tends to stop where make-up ends. The face, neck and decolletage form one aesthetic unit, and treating them with a coordinated medical approach usually creates a more harmonious result than correcting one area in isolation.
