Cellulite can be frustrating because it does not necessarily respond to what you do. You may eat well, exercise consistently and take care of your skin, yet the dimpling remains. This is not a lack of discipline. Cellulite depends on how the tissue beneath the skin is structured, and that cannot be corrected by weight loss or exercise alone.
It can, however, be treated medically. Non-surgical techniques can improve skin firmness and texture in carefully selected cases. Which treatment is suitable — and whether treatment is advisable at all — depends on what is causing the cellulite in your particular case. That is exactly what we determine during your consultation.

Cellulite develops when the tissue supporting the skin loses its uniform structure: superficial fat pushes outwards while fibrous bands pull inwards, creating dimples and an uneven surface. This is why treatments that act only on fat or on the skin’s surface often disappoint — they do not address the underlying structure.
Our treatment is designed to act precisely at this level. Depending on the diagnosis, we use one of two approaches:
Body mesotherapy. Microinjections of medical active ingredients that act on the tissue and local microcirculation. This is commonly considered when cellulite is associated with fluid retention or superficial fat.
Poly-L-lactic acid. A biodegradable injectable collagen stimulator. It does not act as a filler: it gradually encourages your skin to produce its own collagen, improving firmness and softening uneven texture. We consider this option when the skin has lost density and needs greater structural support.
What this treatment is not: it is not a weight-loss method, it does not replace liposuction and it cannot remove cellulite completely — no treatment can. What it can achieve is smoother, firmer and more even-looking skin.
A session takes approximately 45 minutes and requires no downtime. You can leave the clinic on foot and return to your normal routine, following a few simple aftercare instructions. Mild redness or small bruises may appear at the injection points and usually resolve on their own. Improvement is not immediate: it develops over the following weeks as your skin responds.

In some cases, a different approach is more appropriate. If localised fat is the main concern, the treatment will be different and we will explain this during your consultation. If loss of skin firmness is the predominant issue, a body skin-tightening treatment may be more suitable. And if the cellulite is very mild and does not significantly concern you, the most sensible option may be not to treat it — we will be equally honest about that.
These situations are not always easy to distinguish by appearance alone — in fact, this is the most common source of confusion among patients who consult us. This is why the starting point is always the diagnosis, not the technique.

It differs in two important ways: where it acts and who recommends it. Most creams, massages and devices work on the surface of the skin or on fluid retention, which is why any effect tends to be short-lived. Cellulite originates deeper within the tissue structure, and this is the level targeted by medical injectable treatments.
In addition, we diagnose what is causing the cellulite in your case before recommending any treatment. If we do not believe the expected improvement would justify proceeding, we will tell you clearly.
Because cellulite is not an indication of your effort or your weight. It is influenced by factors you cannot fully control, including genetics, hormones and the way your tissue structures superficial fat.
This is why cellulite is also common in slim, physically active women. Exercise and a balanced diet can make it less noticeable, but they do not change the tissue structure that causes it — this is what medical treatment is designed to address.
This depends on the technique selected and how your skin responds. Improvement usually develops progressively from the first few weeks. During your consultation, we will provide a personalised treatment plan with the recommended number of sessions and timing before you decide whether to proceed.
The products we use are biocompatible and biodegradable, meaning they are gradually reabsorbed by the body. The usual effects are mild and temporary, such as redness, swelling or a small bruise that resolves within a few days.
With poly-L-lactic acid, small nodules may occasionally develop, although this is uncommon. The risk is minimised through appropriate injection technique and by following the simple self-massage instructions we will provide. This is one of the reasons why the treatment should be performed by a qualified aesthetic doctor.
It depends on what is causing your cellulite. The same orange-peel appearance may involve fluid retention, superficial fat, fibrous bands pulling the skin inwards, loss of tissue firmness, or a combination of these factors.
Body mesotherapy acts on the tissue and local microcirculation. We consider it when fluid retention is a significant component — for example, heavy legs at the end of the day or swelling around the knees or ankles — or when superficial fat is pushing the skin outwards.
Poly-L-lactic acid works differently: it stimulates your own collagen production, helping restore density and support to the skin. It is indicated when loss of firmness is making the cellulite more noticeable, improving both skin texture and firmness on the buttocks and thighs.
There is also a situation in which neither option provides the complete answer: when the dimples are deep, firm and do not move when the skin is pinched. In these cases, an anchored fibrous band is the main cause, and an injectable treatment alone cannot release it; the band must be mechanically released. If we identify this during your assessment, we will explain it clearly and discuss the available options, even when they are not offered at our clinic.
No. Cellulite is a structural characteristic of the tissue. Aesthetic medicine can visibly improve its appearance, creating smoother skin, less noticeable dimpling and greater firmness, but it cannot remove it completely.
