The body is often left out of the aesthetic conversation, which tends to focus almost entirely on the face. Yet there are areas—such as the neck, décolletage and buttocks—where ageing or changes in weight can become noticeable sooner than expected.
The good news is that many of these areas can be improved without surgery. Hyaluronic acid body fillers can restore volume, soften pronounced lines and refine body contours in carefully selected cases.

Hyaluronic acid is a molecule naturally produced by the body with a particularly useful property in aesthetic medicine: it retains water and adds volume where it is placed. For body treatments, we use gels specifically designed for corporal areas—denser and more cohesive than facial fillers—to support thicker tissues and maintain their shape in areas exposed to pressure and movement.
The treatment is performed at the clinic and takes between 30 and 60 minutes, depending on the area. The result is visible from the first day, although the product usually takes two to four weeks to fully integrate into the tissue. After the session, you should avoid direct pressure on the treated area and strenuous exercise for several days. We will provide specific aftercare instructions according to the area treated.
It is equally important to explain what this treatment is not. It is not an equivalent alternative to surgery: the volume achieved is moderate, and this restraint is not a commercial limitation but a safety criterion. Injecting large quantities of product into body areas increases the risk of complications. We therefore use conservative volumes, place the filler in the correct anatomical plane and, when advisable, divide the treatment into more than one session.

In some cases, another option is more appropriate. If you are looking for a significant and long-lasting increase in volume—for example, in the buttocks—surgery is usually the better route, and we will explain this clearly.
If your main concern is skin quality rather than volume—such as laxity or texture—collagen stimulators, rather than fillers, are likely to be more suitable.
Distinguishing between these situations is precisely the purpose of the assessment: the anatomy of each body area is different, and so is every patient.

A change that is noticeable where it should be, yet discreet in every other respect. In the buttocks, this means greater projection and a contour that is more harmonious with your silhouette. On the neck and décolletage, pronounced lines appear visibly softened: deep creases become less shadowed and prominent, although they may not disappear completely.
The result is visible from the first session and continues to settle over the following weeks as the gel integrates and the tissue adapts.
Results typically last between 12 and 24 months, depending on the area treated, the product used and your individual metabolism. The body gradually breaks down the hyaluronic acid, so the effect does not disappear suddenly; it fades progressively. When this happens, you can decide whether to maintain the result with a touch-up treatment.

It is safe when the key conditions are met: a body-specific product with European certification, conservative volumes, injection into the correct anatomical plane—subcutaneous, never intramuscular in areas such as the buttocks—and treatment performed by an aesthetic doctor with specific anatomical training in the area.
Most post-treatment effects are mild and temporary, such as swelling, tenderness or occasional bruising, and usually resolve within a few days.
Serious complications are mainly associated with excessive volumes, products of uncertain origin or incorrect technique. Our protocol is designed to minimise all three variables.
No, and it is important to understand this before deciding. Hyaluronic acid provides a moderate increase in volume: it can improve projection, round the contour and correct hollows or asymmetries, but it cannot reproduce the degree of size enhancement achieved with fat transfer or implants.
If your goal is a substantial increase in volume, we will tell you during the assessment and discuss the alternatives that are more likely to achieve it.
If you are looking for a visible but controlled enhancement without surgery or a recovery period, this treatment may be appropriate for you.
During the first few weeks, it is normal for the area to feel slightly swollen or uneven to the touch while the gel is still integrating. This is why we schedule a review appointment: to confirm that the area is progressing as expected and make any necessary adjustments.
Results typically last between 12 and 24 months, depending on the area, the product used and your metabolism. The filler is gradually absorbed, so the area does not return to its previous appearance overnight; the effect fades progressively.
When you notice the result beginning to fade, a maintenance touch-up can restore it.
These are different treatment strategies, and the choice depends on your starting point and your goals. Hyaluronic acid provides immediate volume, so the result can be seen on the same day.
Collagen stimulators—such as Sculptra or Lanluma—work progressively by encouraging your own tissue to gain density and firmness over several months. Their results are longer-lasting and can be particularly suitable when skin laxity is present or larger areas need to be treated.
In some cases, both treatments can be combined. During your assessment, we examine the tissue and explain which option—or which sequence of treatments—makes the most sense for you.
In these circumstances, we recommend postponing treatment. This is not because there is evidence of harm, but because hyaluronic acid fillers have not been studied during pregnancy or breastfeeding, and a cautious approach is therefore appropriate. Treatment is also not recommended if there is an active infection in the area or certain uncontrolled autoimmune conditions. We review all of this with you during the assessment, together with your medical history and any medication you take.
