When the skin on the legs loses firmness — on the thighs, the inner thigh or the contour — it is easy to focus on filling the area that bothers you most. Sculptra starts from a different principle: the leg is supported as a whole, and what improves its appearance is not adding volume, but restoring the quality and support of your own tissue. Before treating anything, we confirm whether your case is suitable.
We provide guidance based on medical expertise.
Sculptra is poly-L-lactic acid, a collagen biostimulator. It is not a filler: it does not add volume. Its role is to stimulate your own skin to produce new collagen, progressively improving firmness and skin quality.
That is why the result is not visible on the first day. During the first few weeks you will not notice a real change; the improvement appears later, as the tissue responds, and we assess it calmly around the third month. This is the difference between filling and restoring support: slower, but more natural and more stable.
The session is outpatient. A cannula is used, and there may be some swelling or a small bruise that disappears within a few days. Afterwards, we explain how to massage the area at home over the following days. Depending on the diagnosis, this may not be a single-session treatment and may require a phased approach, with several sessions spaced apart.
Not all legs improve with Sculptra. It is suitable when there is mild or moderate skin laxity or loss of skin quality and the tissue still has the capacity to respond. It is not suitable when there is significant excess skin — for example, after major weight loss. In that case, the indication is surgical rather than biostimulatory, and we will guide you towards the appropriate option.

The aim is for the skin to look and feel firmer and of better quality, without looking as though you have had something done. We are not seeking volume or a sudden change: we are looking for the tissue to naturally regain support.
The change is gradual. The first few weeks are not representative; the real result is seen later, and we assess it together once new collagen has formed. We always speak in ranges, because every skin responds differently: your age, skin quality, smoking, weight changes and the treated area all play a role.
Once the result has settled, it is long-lasting — approximately around two years — and is maintained according to how your skin evolves. That stability is precisely one of its advantages, and also the reason why we plan carefully from the beginning.
What changes the result is not the product itself, but the medical criteria used to indicate it and the precision with which it is applied. This is how we treat legs:

We decide which area should be treated and with what level of expectation according to how each tissue responds, so we do not promise what cannot be supported.

The idea is exactly the opposite. Sculptra does not add volume: it improves the firmness and quality of your own skin gradually. What becomes noticeable is that the skin looks better, not that you have had a treatment. And because the change does not happen overnight but progressively, it remains discreet even for people who see you often.
It works on the body, yes, but not in the same way in every area. The area that usually responds best is the back of the thigh. In other areas, such as the inner thigh or outer contour, the response is more variable and we work with more cautious expectations. That is why the prior assessment is essential: it allows us to define what can realistically be expected in your case.
Gradually. During the first two to four weeks you will not notice a real change, and that is normal: collagen needs time to form. The improvement appears afterwards, progressively, and we assess it together around the third month.
The usual approach involves several sessions spaced a few weeks apart — normally between two and three — but the exact number depends on your skin and the area treated, and is defined during the assessment. Giving you a fixed number without seeing you first would mean giving you information we do not yet have.
Safety is an essential part of the treatment. As with any medical procedure, there are possible risks and side effects that you should know about. These include small nodules or papules under the skin, an uncommon complication when the product is prepared and applied according to the appropriate protocols. In addition, when it does appear, it usually has a favourable course.
During the assessment consultation, we will explain these aspects with complete transparency and evaluate whether the treatment is suitable for you.
It may improve the appearance of the skin in cases of mild cellulite, because by densifying the dermis the surface can look more even. However, Sculptra does not eliminate cellulite. If that is your main objective, during the assessment we will clarify what you can expect and whether another option may be more appropriate.
The result is long-lasting — approximately 18 to 24 months — and the product cannot be removed once applied. Far from being a drawback, this is part of its value: the effect is stable over time.
